| Achilles Tang ![]() | Alan, here's an update from our tank that may be hopeful for your situation. About three or four weeks ago one of our three RBTA went MIA. It is a smaller one, recently split from one of the twins involuntarily you might say because the poor thing got pulled through two gaps of the overflow and was pulled nearly in two. When I coaxed it back into the tank it took refuge in the rocks and split off about 1/3 of itself - perhaps easier than pulling itself back together... Anyway, shortly thereafter, maybe a couple of weeks later, the little one went missing. We had assumed it was taking a break from the lights and hiding out in a crevace somewhere. But yesterday I was changing the filter bag in our sump and found the little guy attached to the outside of the bag. It was about the size of a triple thick nickle. When happy she is about the size of a tennis ball. I moved her back into the tank, placing her in a location she has enjoyed in the past. So here was an anemone that went over the overflow, through the durso standpipe, and lived in the sump without light for about two weeks. Now she is doing 'fine' although I'm sure recovering from a stressful adventure. Keep hope alive, Alan. These babies are pretty tough. ![]()
