anemone dissapeared

My rose anemone dissapeared after being gone for 2 days.My powerheads are covered and I can't find it on the back of rocks. Can it deteriorate if it died in just 2 days?

Re: anemone dissapeared

Prolly not... if it had YOU WOULD KNOW that would play hell in your tank. Chances are that it is hiding.. They do this time to time if there is somthing wrong... look closer. Maybe hiding in a cave or in a spot you can't see.

Re: anemone dissapeared

I've had a small GBTA disappear for a week after introduction to the tank and finally just show up on the opposite end of my tank under a rock. Anems will often move around until they find their spot.

Re: anemone dissapeared

I had an anemone recently die on me. It was about a fifth the size, and completely deflated....

My poor anemone crab kept with her though, I had to force it to the leave the nem corpse...

And 'theskunk' is right, they sure do stink when dead...

I removed it quickly enough that it did not 'nuke' the tank and harm any of the other fish...

Re: anemone dissapeared

I had an anemone like 2 year years ago and when it died it did stink , you would notice, how big is your tank and the anemone?? Its probally hiding but be careful it doesn't die that can harm the rest of your community.
