Yes, it will sting the leather. It may not kill it but it will definitely damage it.

Yes it will sting your leathers. I also believe they travel around a tank more than other types of anemones.

A side note is that I believe some types of hermits feed on the condys.

Re: Condy Anenome

Any suggestions on how to keep my anenomes away from my corals? Some days they are bigger than others and of course they occasionally will move. Usually mine stay put unless I move the rock around.

Re: Condy Anenome

No way to really keep them in place. Usually if they find a place they like they will stay there for quite some time. Mine never moved. My Condy did however get huge and took up a lot of real estate. None of the fish would go anywhere near it,

Re: Condy Anenome

You can discourage it but can't stop it. Sometimes pointing a power head at it will persuade it to move and sometimes a strawberry basket will discourage them from moving. No way to actually control it though.

Re: Condy Anenome

I ended up moving a few of my rocks around to make more space. I didn't seem to have enough room with the condy right in the center and he does take up a lot of real estate as you say Lynn. I like the looks right now, but it's kind of like my house, I love to move things around. Once things start growing a bit more, I can tell what will work best. Many of the tank pix I see have lots of corals touching. How do you know what all can touch and what can't????
