| Elegance coral | Another carpet question, lol OK, so I've got my 26x26x20 cube on order as well as the stand. Tank will be tied into the 180 reef. I now need to order my light. I haven't decided on whether I want to shell out again for the Solaris. So, if I want to keep a colored carpet, what would people recommend? I'm perfectly fine with a pendant or something like that and a high K halide w/o actinic suplementation. I will probably hang it from the ceiling. Gotta look classy. Any suggestions regarding fixture, wattage, and bulb type welcome. Last edited by rmlevasseur : 07-17-2008 at 11:54 PM. |

| WOLVERINE~ ![]() | Re: Another carpet question, lol Haddoni carpets like light, but also dont like it too bright, and at only 20" deep without any sand (which you WILL need atleast 3" for a carpet) the tank is considered shallow.

| Dancing Mandarins | Re: Another carpet question, lol He is right, it is shallow and you don't need more than 150. BE SURE AND GO At least 14 K for better color.
