| Sunshine Reefer | Re: green carpet Anemone One could easily fill a 65 when full grown. You also need a lot of light and a very well established tank. They are not for the beginner.

| Sunshine Reefer | Re: green carpet Anemone For most tanks it is not a good idea. Woodstock has a gorgeous one and Witfull has also been successfull with them. I have a friend who has devoted a tank to his. So, it can be done but they are not for the beginner or for a small tank.

| Golden Moray ![]() | Re: green carpet Anemone good points everyone, i have a green carpet too and it is the coolest thing in my tank. Feeding it always makes visitors happy and cheeks has a good point with the clowns, also carpets usually acclimate better with a host as well. I turned my flow off until it found a spot it liked and yours seems to have found one now. I have had two chromis get eated by it but they were trying to attack my clowns and missed, was kind of funny. I say keep it, your tank looks great and i think you are ready!!! |

| Golden Moray | Re: green carpet Anemone I'm with you Snelly, that thing is gorgeous and I would keep it. The clown fish should do the trick I think as they can be aggressive.

| Keeper of The List | Re: green carpet Anemone Thanks for sharing your story with us! You had to do what you were most comfortable with for your tank and tangs. You're a good aquarist, keeping your creatures lives as the most important thing. I hope you'll post more pictures because your tank is wonderful! I'd love to see your new additions.

| Tunicate | Re: green carpet Anemone I have had my green carpet for almost 18 months now--he has never moved and never killed anything. He has been one of the easiest things in the tank to take care of, but he had grown to the point where I am either putting him in my other tank or trading him in soon--my tank is only 35g, but it seems to do well even now. From day one my clown has basically lived in it--even at night, he curls up inside the mouth and I always thought he was going to eat it, but never has. |
