Re: anyone?

Please don't. And please don't put a carpet in a new tank. They are very delicate animals. Much more than the other anemones. They also get absolutely huge and will eat any fish they can get. I know several people who have them and most of them have given up keeping fish in the tank and just have the carpet and clowns in a separate large tank by themselves. Woodstock is one of the few who can successfully keep both but that is because she feeds it well and even then she loses the occasional fish.

That is very VERY rare and unusual. Carpets need tons of light.

I agree. I have been very lucky as well as stupid for even trying, but i had started reefing way before i learned about online reef keeping forums. I still do keep my carpet under my pc's but i will be upgrading to the new current t5 pro's in the next few months.

I woudlnt recommend anyone doing such, I have a lot of time to mantain and care for my reef.

Re: anyone?

The only one that could survive if it was well fed would be the Stichodactyla haddoni the gigantea and mertensii would not ! I would recommend Metal halides for these Anemones.
