Re: rose anemone !!

(moved to Anemone section)

It doesn't look good but it could just be undergoing a 'normal deflate' period. This should not take long (less than a day) and the anmeone should expand back to its full-body texture.

How long has it been bleached like that?
How long have you had it?
What is your lighting?
When was the last time it ate? What did it eat?
What is the water parameters (ph, temp, alk, nitrAtes)?
What size is the tank?

Re: rose anemone !!

I'm glad it looks better but all of the photos above show severly bleached anemones. Please either upgrade your lighing very quickly or give them to someone with better lights.

Also, please note that anemones need to eat small pieces of meat (not large chunks). Make sure you are chopping the shrimp into several very small (1/4") bite sizes. The feeding will prolong the life of the anemone without strong lights but as you can see, yours is loosing its internal zooxanthelea (bleaching) which is not a good thing.
