| Tunicate | BTA touching colony ? Hi everyone ,i woke up this morning to find my bta had decided to take a trip during the night and move around the rock he was guarding and take up residence with a colony polop that was on the oppisite end ,my question is will they sting each other and should i now move the colony or the bta or none of the above, the problem is the rock the colony is on is the same rock the bta decided he wants so some one will have to be disturbed if not both to seperate them ,,just some thoughts on the matter would be appreciated ,so far it looks like they are just barly touching but since the lights arnt on yet they are not fully open yet. | Reef Lobster | The BTA will sting the polyps and will eventually kill them. The Coral will try ti sting back but it is not potent enough to make the BTA Move. I would direct a PH onto the Anenome and hope it forces him to move. If you choose to try and move the BTA, be very careful not to damage his foot when you remove him from the rock .... as this can lead to infection. When my BTA encrouched on an SPS, i cut a platic cup in half and gave the coral some protection until i persuaded the anenome to move. HTH Brucey

| Tunicate | Thanks for the welcome katrina, well as it turned out i was able to move the rock the colony was attatched to since the bta had dug in under a dif rock than it looked and was just overlapping onto the colonys rock but now after moving it i am sure the bta will not be happy LOL so i will expect more nightime forages but thanks for letting me know to separate them that is what i wasnt sure of ,thanks again brucey.
