Rose trying to steal Clarkii?

Recently added a Rose BTA with a LTA which hosts a Clarkii.

Placed the Rose where strong current and strong lighting were present. Also placed it on the opposite side of the tank from the LTA and Clarkii.

I know they move around but still found this interesting: It moved from one side of the tank along the back of the tank using the rocks. The RBTA stopped a few inches from the other anemone hosting the Clarkii. Watched it all day thinking they were going to sting each other (don't know if that could actually happen) and they didn't. Can't figure why it moved all the way there. Then I started thinking? Is it trying to invite the Clarkii? That would be very interesting if the Clarkii moves over to the Rose. I will update post if it does.

Heres a pic of the LTA and Clarkii. Will post a photo of the rose soon.

lol, your giving it to much credit. they just move to where they like it. maybe the clown is bringing in some food for it making that spot even better but clowns or not i think the same thing would have happend anyway. more likely the flow and lighting there is what it wants

cool thing is the clown may go into both just because it can, do you see a ring on its fin

Re: Rose trying to steal Clarkii?

Apparently that is an anemone friendly area of the tank. They will go where they want to go. I don't see how it would even know that the other nem and clown were there.

Re: Rose trying to steal Clarkii?

Well it didn't take long, the Clarkii is going back and forth to each anemone. The RBTA has now moved over to the opposite side of the tank with the Clarkii. Funny who things work out even if you don't know why.

Here is a photo of the RBTA and Clarkii. Sorry about the photo , both were positioned at a bad spot for pics.

Re: Rose trying to steal Clarkii?

Anemone's are funny. I had a tomato clown being hosted by a GBTA half it's size. I added A Sebae on the other side of the tank. Apparently the Sebae liked where I put it because it's only moved back and forth about 6" from the original spot. The GBTA has gone into hiding behind the rocks and I haven't seen it since. Reef tanks are strange.
