| Golden Moray | Add anenome or wait This week I will be moving my 110 gallon tank into my 210 gallon. The 110 has been set up and doing well for just over a year. Another local reef club member has a large Saebae (?) anenome that has outgrown her 55 gallon tank. Although I think I'd like to have it, I'm not sure that I should take it as I will have just reset the tank and some fluctuations in parameters are possible. Your advice would be appreciated. |

| Brunt of all Jokes~ | Re: Add anenome or wait Hey Doc, my worry on this would be all that new SW, undissolved crystals are enemy #1 for anem's, see if he can hold it a couple of weeks?

| Over Achiever | Re: Add anenome or wait Hank until you get the a handle on the water chemistry in this new size tank, I would recommend that you wait. I would expect some sort of "learning curve" on your part to finess the temperature, pH, alk and other parameters in this double volume of water. I wouldn't expect it to take you that long however. Perhaps in a month or two you and your tank will be ready. Can she hold on to it for another 1-2 months? With a tank that size, you need a carpet anemone! ![]() |

| Wannabe Guru ![]() | Re: Add anenome or wait I don't know if it would be necessary several weeks but at least a few days with plenty of flow would be a good idea IMHO. AFA the Anemone I moved a RBTA from my 42 gal to the 93 and it handled it very well but it's a relatively hardy Anemone unlike the Sebae. I would also suggest you wait at least a couple of weeks to let the parameters stabilize a bit before adding the Anemone.

| Golden Moray | Re: Add anenome or wait Thanks folks. I'm starting the move today and should finish by tomorrow. It's great to have temp and salinity the same and all tanks within 10 feet of each other. Never have been able to do as quick and easily as this. Will wait at least a few weeks before thinking of moving the anenome in. |
