| Tuxedo Urchin | Anenome So i have a pair of maroon clowns. They are quarintined right now due to an ich break out in my tank. I have had them for awile and several anenomes. I have just not had good luck with them. I had one that split in two and then died because it kept mving to where i couldnt find it to feed it. The other i got rid of because it ate my lionfish...... Yeah ate a lion fish i saw it happenning and by then it was to late. I really would love any suggestions of any good anenomes to purchase. I wanted to get a carpet but i was told that my powercompact lighting 4 x 65 watt was not enough lighting for it. I have always been a little worried about anenomes stinging and killing my coral. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Anenome The only anemoned that I know of that have a chance with PC lighting is the BTAs. Anemones are very light loving animals who really need the intensity of MH or at leaset T45 lights. They also need a very stable established tanks so you may need to wait a bit. The standard for an established tank is 1 year,

| Tuxedo Urchin | Re: Anenome sorry for the lack of information my tank has been up for about four years. I guess lighting is kind of a problem at this time fo rthe anenome i really want. i just dont want one climbing all over my corals and stinging them. the oness that i have had always seem to make a problem in the tank. I had an anenome that like to stay in the sand bed but the clowns would try nesting next to it and kick sand up until they reached the bottom of the tank. If anyone has a good experience with anenomes or any suggestions let me know. |
