What Happened To My LTA??? - Page 2

Hope it continutes to improve. With their low metabolism it could be something that happened a while back and it is just showing it now. I know they can look good for a long time when they really are not. I hope that isn't the case and it continues to improve for you. I know you will do your best for it because you always do.

It could have been a sting from the bubble. Make sure you're feeding it well. I think it will recover and be back to it's fluffy self soon

Thanks Lynn. It is very possible that this is an old injury presenting itself. Notice the join date... Oct 06... it will be 6 months at the end of this month. I found RS when trying to find out what was causing a problem with him then. I think you were a key player in that, BTW. LOL. Since then... he has at least doubled... if not tripled in size, his color is way darker, and just seems much healthier. There has been definite improvement in the time that I've had him. I hope whatever it is heals quickly...

I will definitely have to get rid of it... probably shouldn't keep it in the 90... can't put it in the Cube cause it's back to stock lights/hood to keep the Bluespot from jumping out.

I've never heard of an LTA splitting or reproducing asexually, my bet would be powerhead damage.

Thanks guys. It's not impossible... but I think that powerhead damage is highly unlikely in this situation.

**UPDATE- This morning, he is still in the same spot. I can see little purple tentacle tips on the sandbed

The damaged tenticles on the nem look pretty well except a lot shorter and kinda stubby. I'll get some pics a little later. Wish him luck!!!
