Yes it is a malu .... pretty sure. Sarah, what lights have you got mate .... I would recommend MH lights which allow the zooanthelle to grow within the anenome. I've had a BTA for 18 months that has never eaten a thing and yet is super healthy .... just survives of the zooanthelle and filter feeds too. You can place a shrimp or peice of fish directly into the tentacles (hopefully it will grab it) and only a foolhardy fish wishes to get stung badly will go for it. I hand feed my ritteri Mussle, lancefish, shrimp ..... anything it can get it's hands on. She's a beats

Tank is 13 weeks old everything is feeding ang growing brillent.
Just fed the malu a piece of prawn con not get any shrimps and it gobbled it up. it also decided to move him self a bit closer to the glass we have also gave him name he is called fred the cats are fascinated by him.

i would say feed him every few days.

I feed target feed mine once per week. I have 6 anamones in my 125 gal tank. The rest of the time that get some food when feed the rest of the tank and that is once per day with mush

I don’t know how normal it is for a malu anemone to move around or not, but I do most anemones do move around once or more during their lives. He is just trying to find a home he likes.

it's pretty normal for anemones to move around when they're new to a tank- it may be trying to find an "ideal location" to place himself.
