anemone and anemone fish

How much light and how easy are the bubble tip anemones to keep? I want a starter anemone that will go well with a maroon clownfish.

Even the "easy" BTA requires well above "normal light", and the more light, the better. There is NO SUCH THING as a starter anemone, and all require a well matured tank for success. The normal recommendation is a tank that has been cycled and running for 1 year or more...

if i woas you i would not start out with a anemone they are very hard to keep with some and some will not take food i would recommend waiting like a 1/2 yr or 1 yr til you try it out. also if you have corals thats a very bad thing to keep they roam around killing everything you touch if its a fish only tank i would say fine the only anemone i would say has worked for me was a carpet they seem to sit there and never move.

One more question? well not the last one. Is there something that I can put in with the clown fish to make them feel safe or will they be ok?

They will be fine regardless, however there are many stories of clownfish hosting in many different things. The ones that come to mind are leather corals and mushrooms but I know I have heard of many other adopted hosts.
i'm not sure if you already have the maroon(s) but be aware they have a well earned nasty reputation. Be very cautions when introducing new fish into the reef. They may become very agressive and I have had mine severely harrass and even kill new additions. There are precautions you can take but just know it is always a risk.

Oh wow. No I don't have them yet, I am still building a buying my aquarium stuff, but I figured I would do some research on some fish. I read that they were aggrasive but wow. Of course fish are still a realitve gamble these days. Every fish is kind of different it seems. Thanks though for the advice. Although I love the maroon I would like to have other fish as well. I wanted to know about the Clarkii, clown as well.

Depending on your other inhabitants you may be fine with a maroon. The biggest thing in many cases is to add it last. Basically, when stocking your tank, you want to add the less agressive fish first. Then add the fish in that order ending with the most agressive. Then the agressive fish has not established a "territory" that he is defending against a newcomer.
You are correct about each fish being different. Also it depends on the new fish. I have been successful with most of my additions even with the maroon being one of my first fish. Each loss though hit me hard so I had to say it. Add him towards the end or last (depending on the other fish) and you should be fine.
Now if you are getting a very large tank (I should know but forgot) then you can get away with a lot more.
