BTA Moved to Glass

Hey Guys,
Everything in my tank has been looking great lately, Levels are good and fish are healthy.
Recently however, my BTA moved from his spot which he was in for a good 5 months, he was floating around looking for a spot, tried out a few places and now has ended up on the glass??
He is on the side glass panel, im sure there is good water flow there because that is the side closer to the powerhead. He is about half way up the glass and he looks real good still and the clown still stays in him but i was just making sure this was not maybe a precursor to something bad.
Sorry if im being overly cautious but i really try to look after it.
Thanks for your help, and any tips would be appreciated. Happy 4th everyone

As long as it looks good I would just let it roam...It will find a spot and settle down.... Also watch your powerheads..

Re: BTA Moved to Glass

yeah, my dad had one sucked in and shredded, but i have a nanocube with a guard over the intake as well as an over flow so there is nowhere for him to go. Thanks though.
Yeah, i mean he does look good so im letting him be, just didnt know if this maybe meant anything cuz i just thought it odd he would choose glass over live rock

Re: BTA Moved to Glass

i placed a metal halide in there about a week before i got him, he has always been wedged inbetween two pieces of live rock near the bottom of the tank. Its only a 24g nanocube so i would have thought the light would be sufficient no matter where he was, but it could be he just wanted to be a little close.
Thanks ffrankie, i was thining that too maybe, i just hope its not a sign of somethng else but im glad most of my thoughts are your guys thoughts as well

Re: BTA Moved to Glass

BTA's are notorious for moving around. They may stay in one place for months, then, for no reason we can see, go on a "walkabout"...I had one decide to attach to my mag-float for several months. (talak about a good excuse for not cleaning the glass!)

and another one attach itself to the glass next to a well protected powerhead:
