Brucey!!!! Welcome aboard man!!!!! I'm sorry to hear about your anemone issues, but I would go along w/ everybody else and suggest you get a seperate tank just for it...better for all involved. Besides, your GF Lou would let you have another wouldnt she? Are you guys getting hitched or what? Is that the super secret good news? I know none of my business, but she seems like a nice girl and you guys look good together....even tho I've only seen pics of you @ your moving in party, and you were dressed as a Roman Centurian.....Nice skirt btw......lol
Glad to have you over here Brucey,
Nick

I was wondering where you were Bud. Good to see you. I don't have a clue about the anemone, I just wanted to say hi.

Guys, your the best .... Homepage has just moved from RAG to hear but to be honest I haven't been on RAG since the Nov / Dec drama's. Nick, you must by physic ..... or is it psychotic .... hee hee .... Yeah man, marriage and other stuff on the way. I'll fill you guys in later in the year, otherwise bend Tankgirl's ear and she'll tell you. You guys all know I'd love another tank, and the only option would be to turn my Q tank into an anenome tank .... but then I'd go against everything i preach about Q'teening. Also I think 300 gallons in the basement is enough, and no Lou, wouldn't go for it .... LOL

Brucey,

Hey! I was thinking about you the other day, wondering where you were. Good to see you!

A 2' anemone - wow.... you don't have pictures, do you? That's incredible, and truly a testament to your care!

I personally have no idea if you could "trim" it, but my gut says it's not a good idea. Then again, I've seen anemones sucked up and spit out by PH's, and completely recover.

Anyway, mostly just wanted to say hello, and that it's good to see you here! If you get a chance, please update us sometime on all that is going on!

Take care,

RL, Pic's are all tied up on RAG at the moment in my gallary .... I have a note on my desktop to move the Pics over to RSanctuary when I get a moment. Here's a link to the most recent Pic I have (about 3 months old). You can see the Montipora next to it which it destroyed and the Acro's is just off to the left with a Hysterix just off to the right ..... I really don't want to lose them to but then I love the guy ..... What do you do !!!!!

hay mate, i agree with others, and i wasnt sure if it would split or not

i say take the fresh water tank and turn it into a anemone tank, i think it would be big enough

but you prob dont want to do that, IMO, i would use the Q tank, although a bit small, you could atleast keep it in there for a while intil you and the "wife" (to be), decide what to do, i know how much it means to you and i would hate to see you get rid of it, but on the other hand if you do get rid of it you will more that likely want another anemone, and be in the same boat then

the things we go through

also
WELCOME to RS

what a monster Brucey !!! It does look awesome. I was in a similar situation I have a small tank and my Sebae anemone was growing at an alarming rate 3" to almost 1' wide in about 6 months it died when it wrapped itself around the heater I was going to bring it back to the lfs but it was too late. IMHO I would give it to someone in the hobby I would trust to care for it

That things a beast! I know Jupiter has lots of experiance w/ anemones and he would certainly be able to care for it. Maybe he has room for it in one of his tanks. Could you guys work something out on shipping? I wish my 58 was ready 'cause I'd be more than happy to take that beast off your hands. How long are you willing to hold on to it?
