Re: Anemone Club!

OK, I'm going to bite.here is Havoc, the tube anemone.

Lynn's pic of her rbta does not do it justice, I saw it when she got it, it is beautiful! Kinda like my little Havoc here, this picture doesn't do him justice either.

Re: Anemone Club!

I have wanted an anemone since I got my tank (the first time 5 years ago). The more I read about them, the more I realize I'm not ready for one. You guys impress me.

Re: Anemone Club!

Ok, most of you know that my RBTA took a walk right into my intake tube. This is it today. It firmly plants part of itself on the glass and the other half on the rock, I can't believe how much it stretches. Is it trying to split itself? Should I do anything for it? It opens and closes each day, the pic was when it was closed but it is open right now. It has stayed in the same general area since the incident over a week ago. Moves a few inches throughout the day (which gives it more or less light, more or less food, and/or more or less flow). No slimmy stuff...

Re: Anemone Club!

Looks like a split to me !
There's really nothing you can do, I would leave it be. After it splits and recovers it'll move on it's own.

Re: Anemone Club!

I'll have to post a pic of Godzilla my monster sebae.
It seems to be at the top of the size chart for these, but refuses to split.
Lazy, just plain lazy.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

My RBTA is possibly gone after more than 4 years in my tank
I believe it got caught on my ph as I removed some chunks of it from the front of my tank. I don't know if any part of the anemone survived and if it did it hasn't reappeared in a couple of weeks.
