Right . . . . I want to say first and foremost that this is all Max's fault. He got me going on the idea of a second cube tank plumbed into my exitsing setup about 6 weeks ago. Amazingly I didn't rush out and do anything about it at the time and waited until I got back from the honeymoon to start.

So believe it or not, I've nearly got the tank up and running now and it's cost me a grand total of £22 . . . about $14. SUPERB eh. The tank cost me £5, second hand but never used. A fiend drilled it for me. The wood cost £2 and the bricks to stand it on were less than £1 each. The only thing I've had to buy which I didn't have already was the Caribsea Aragmax Mud and Sand. I've added 2" of both for the DSB . . . . . wondered if I could have some comments on 4" of DSB on whether you think that's too deep. Also, do you need to leave the sand to cure or can I plumb this into my main system once the water has cleared. ?

Anyway, gotto go. Boss is watching me
