| Ok, After speeking to the structural engineer he tells me there is no issue here. Reason being the bottom piece is only 1/8 inch thick and it is only there to hold water in the event of a leak. If the front or the back or the top where cracked that would be a differant story. I am verifying that they are still going to fully warranty the stand the way it is (in writting). He also stated that if I am concerned with it I can patch it and they are sending me patch blocks and glue to patch the cracks if I want to but it is not necessary.
As far as the wet/dry filter, it missed the shipment and went out the next day so I should have it today or tomorrow.
So I guess I'll patch it and continue on....... I guess he is right, after thinking about it what he said makes since, all the load is supported by the support ribs that are in the stand and not the base piece, these ribs are glued together and if you look at the picture the way this is designed the rib that runs from the top to the bottom actually do not run all the way to the floor, they use another block to adjust the height. These two pieces are cemented together and hold the weight so a patch should be ok.....
