| There are no hard and fast rules to making a spray bar. What do you want to accomplish. The angle of the holes are dependent upon how you want the water to flow. Downward to move detritus forward from behind the rocks, upward to oxygenate. Its really dependent upon your tank and the available space vs. needs.
For lenght, again dependent upon your tank. Mine is in the middle 2/3rds of the tank angled up to move surface water.
Use a 1/8" or 5/64th" drill bit spaced about 1-1 1/2" apart and be sure to use 1/2" PVC or CPVC (better) for your material. |
