| I don't believe it is a killifish (fundulus sp.) because of the dorsal spines. The dorsal fin would be set farther back and only be composed of soft rays.
It does look a bit like a serranidae to me, but I can't tell from the picture alone. If it is possible to count or take a picture of the dorsal spines and anal rays that would be an awesome way to id it, esp. if you have any ideas on where it came from.
The pelvic fins don't look familiar with any groupers I'm familiar with. |
