Good afternoon from Winter Wonderland!

It's a balmy 31F right now, with close to 2 feet of snow on the ground. I'm sick of winter already.

Quote:
i remember a day in Mesa, i think it was mid December and it snowed maybe a1/4-1/2" and the cities closed.that was hilarious. everyone freaked, accidents gallore. all the snowbirds were mad. i went out driving just to see the chaos and bedlam....lol
Dave, that reminds me of a time (way back when) - I drove to Florida from Mass. Snowed from CT all the way to Georgia. I couldn't believe the ppl driving ... you'd watch them -- 70mph, and straight into the ditch...70mph, and straight into the ditch. LOL

I had to turn around at the SC/NC border, because Rte. 95 was closed -- the plows they had in SC were only 2' wide, and couldn't handle it - rofl.

I wonder if any New Englanders remember the Blizzard of '78? We got 37" of snow over 3 days straight. Hurricane force winds and 10'-15' drifts. Schools were closed for 2 weeks ... I remember driving around "down town" with my dad on our snowmobiles, because all the town roads were closed for several days. Yikes!!
