I am worried about my big orange spotted goby. I bought two of them a couple months back and I always see the little one. The bigger one only comes out early in the morning and very rarely in the evening before lights out. When I feed the fish, he goes back in his hole. He finally came to the front of the tank last night and he seems a little slim in the middle. He has always had a big head but his body seems slimmer. Now remember I usually don't see this guy much so it could be my imagination. I am worried he is not eating well. I try to make sure food drops in front of his hole but I never see him grab it. What is it in the sand that they eat? because he is always stirring up the sand, but would that food supply run low. My black clown only lets them stay on the left side of my tank.
