Question 120 Design Questions

Everyone,

While I don't post a lot on this board it is one of the ones I check everyday. I enjoy reading and respect everyone thoughts and suggestions. So, I am looking for some feedback on a tank I am planning.

OK, I have been stuggling with how to plumb my new 120 tank for about a month. I have finally put an initial idea to paper and need your comments, any and all are welcome.

Background/Goals for plumbing
- I plan to keep SPS, a few softies and fish
- I would like 20x turnover (2400 gph), 1000 gph from sump, 1400 gph from closed loop.
- Would like redundancy and fail over if possible.
- Tank is currently drilled for holes B, C, D and E. I plan to drill holes A, F, G and H. So if I need more holes should not be a problem.
- I am looking to minimize, if not eliminate, all equipment in the display tank. I think this can be done by rock work. (May not get this one completely)
- I plan to use spa flex tubing where possible
- I still need to figure out what pumps I will be using but that is for later.
- Planning on a OM 4-Way either Version 2 or 3 for the closed loop.
Here is a pic of what I have come up with so far.

The closed loop will pull water from G and H (1.5" blukheads on back glass). I am planning on hiding these intakes behind rocks. These will be T'd into 2" pipe to the pump then either 1.5" or 2" pipe to the OM. Ball valves have been added to the closed loop so that I can perform maintenance on the pump or OM without draining the tank.

Concerns:
1. Are the bulkheads big enough to push these volumes.
2. Any recommendations on pumps for the closed loop. I figure about 5' head pressure as the tank will sit on a 32" stand.
3. Should I put 2" or 1.5" between the pump and OM
4. Should I come off the OM with 1.5" or 1" pipe considering I will be going thru the tank with 1" bulkheads.

What else have I missed?

Thanks for you input.
