I don't use milleput, but I use a two part epoxy product from Home Depot called Aquamend. You knead the two parts togther until it turns grey and then you mold it on and stick the coral in it. It does take a little practice to use, putty works differently than superglue gel. It doesn't really adhere to the coral or live rock, instead you work it into the nooks and crannies on the live rock, and then stickt he end of the coral into the putty and it dries hard pretty quick.
As far as removing corals, I've had no problems popping corals right off the putty base, or sometimes the entire putty base pops off the rock, depending which one it has a better hold on.
