I'm sorry you have to do a tear-down but I'm glad you are keeping your old equipment. I can easily forsee you setting up a tank again in the future and this step will make that much cheaper.

PS....before you do your tear down, buy some plastic bags and rubberbands. Get a good scraper and with the plastic bag held firmly against the glass, scrape some coralline into the bag. Lots of new reefkeepers are desperate for some starter spores. You can help defray the costs of your move because you have so much and so few coralline spores are needed to jump start a tank. (Sorry...it's the accountant in me).
