Reefman86 - maybe Todd will be able to offer more help than I can. I would think getting wet skimmate into the cup is better than having done in the cup, as long as it's not filling up too quickly. Do you have a new tank with little bio-load (few or no fish and little or no feeding)? I'm only guessing that the skimmer still hasn't broken in all the way, or that there aren't enough organics in the water to form a stable, dryer foam.
