Except in emergency situations, I don't advise water changes that big. Corals are surprisingly adaptive, and rapid changes can be just as bad if not worse than a slow increase in nutrients. I learned this the hard way once when I used too much ferric oxide in one shot, and bleached a few corals. Smaller but frequent water changes tend to yield better results.
