The tentacles will grow out as it acclimates to your tank...My recommendation would be to leave it where it's at...like I said, if you move it, you never know where it might end up...
Hopefully you have all power heads and the like well protected...Personally, I like the Hagen Quick Filter housings for ALL my power heads...
MOST powerhead intake screens just aren't "anemone friendly"...
