| Re: Fragging Leather Corals Hi everyone...
Just tried my hand for the first time at fragging a mushroom leather coral. I had read far to many post on how to do it and felt that i had a solid grasp on it...well i thought wrong. I started by deciding where i wanted to frag the leather as there were two heads. One was very large about 5 to 6 inches across and then a smaller one that had been growing beneath it. i decided to cut the smaller one off as it wasnt able to get any light do to the larger head. As i started to cut i began to realize that the stalk had grown around a coral rock and in the process of removing the smaller head i head to break the rock which resulted in some tearing of the tissue of the leather coral. the main stalks and heads look great.
Question is how do leather corals take to being torn at there base. I hope i have not done any permanent damage. Any thoughts?
Thanks
