for a first saltwater tank i would recommend you get a 55+gallon ( i recently got a 55 gallon ) the bigger tank you have the easier it will be to keep stable parameter, and not to mention more fish aswell
before you get into saltwater you need to do some homework
SW fish tank have to "cycle" first, that take any where from weeks to months.
also will you be going Fish Only With Live Rock, Fish Only, or Reef ( reef has corals and what not )??
