Maxx, G3 all the way. The G5 has problems with chromatic aberration, which you really REALLY don't want in a camera for reef photos.
BTW, WHY would you not get a Canon DSLR if you already have EF lenses? Explain that one to me, LOL.
I expect the Drebel will be dropping significantly in price by year end when the new 10D MKII comes out. Until then, there are plenty of disillusioned Drebel buyers who are selling out of frustration that it doesn't magically take the best pics in the world because it's a DSLR.
