If you really want that stuff in your tank, no need to plant it. Just tuck into the rockwork or place a rock over it to hold it down.

We'll tell you how to get rid of it in a couple months, LOL.

Seriously, though, if you have a sump or refugium that's a much better place for your macroalgae. Though it looks nice now, it will spread quickly to places you don't want it and become a pain to get rid of. That said, I have kept macro in a tank under control, and it did look quite nice. But it takes very vigilant pruning.
