| Re: why? here is my story.....my room mate from college was a marine biologist and we had a 55 with just about every weird creation (and very common ones) we could find at the LFS that would live together - Guppies, Caecilian Eel, Male Betta, 3 female bettas, pictus cat and for awhile little neon fish (but the pictus ate them), FW lobster and I think sword tails. I always asked him when we were going to start a saltwater tank and he always said neither of us had the time or $$$ do it. I then started dating this girl whose best friend's boyfriend asked me on multiple occassions to watch his reef and FOWLR tank. I was hooked, but it took me almost 4 yrs to start a FOWLR....that was 10 yrs ago.
Just recently I really started more excited as my few corals are beginning to grow at a good rate.
