No, no, no.
Doni meant messages that have been sent to us.
Let me address this privacy issue first (though it's the first I've heard of it)
I'm assuming by email you mean private messages. If someone is saying that they can be read by certain people, that's correct simply by the nature of the software - All private messages are saved on the database just like all posts. That's how you have them saved when you come back, can organize them into folders, etc.
OK, so anything in a database can
theoretically be read by someone with access to that database. That means me, and the company that hosts our site, and anyone else with access.
Now, let me be clear... I do not and have not read people's private messages. First of all, it would take a serious amount of effort to crack into the database and do that... and secondly, I have neither the time nor the inclination.
We depend on members to forward staff anything they find objectionable in a Private message, including spam. When they forward it, we then take action. So, just know that someone can forward us a PM just like they can an email, and in that case, yup, we'll read it.
So... to clarify...
1. Anyone with server access on
ANY FORUM could potentially access private messages.
2. I don't do that.
