The thing i want to know have these been bleached and if so do you think i should take it up with the owner?
Some anemones that are bleached are not bleached intentionally - bleaching is just a symptom of insufficient lighting. They could have been received by the LFS bleached/white.

Also would you advise against me buying one?
If they are bleached, their health can come back - just understand that you are purchasing a sick / ill / possibly dying animal.

african anemones
What are commonly referenced as "African Anemones" are Sebaes - Heteractis crispa. Wooddood - yours is definitely a Sebae, and (unfortunately) looks quite bleached.

This is a really good article to read: >The Tragedy of Artificially Colored Live Corals <. I understand that the article is about dyed corals, however, the care of a dyed coral/anemone is exactly the same as that of a bleached one (corals /anemones are bleached before they are dyed ~ the zooxanthellae has been expelled).
