| Re: Metal Halides Did you leave an air gap between the wood on the canopy top and the reflector? If there is no air gap, you are transfering the heat directly onto the wood from the reflector, in essence, creating a fire hazard.. The screws that hold the reflector to the wood, need to be removed, and you could use a few washers or a small piece of pipe for your spacer. Get that metal reflector off of the wood, then think about fans to pull away the heat.
