| Metal Halides
So I finally got my tank up and running and Ive had my Halides running since 2pm its now 530 and the top of my canopy is scortching hot. Its hot enough that i cant keep my hand on it for more than a couple seconds.
I retrofit a single DE bulb and its the reflector mounted to a piece of metal and then to the canopy. i just put a piece of glass over it so that i dont sun burn anything and now its sending all the heat up towards the canopy. Is this safe? how do you normally retro fit a Halide bulb to your canopy? |
