Well after more research, the Chromis is in fact the oldest fish in my tank...not the clown. You can even notice in the picture how the very end of it's tail is clear...that is where it had to grow back after our violent encounter with the purple pseudo we had when our tank was young....we yanked it out though and took it back...it was a bully. It killed our little pygmy Angel, Ralphie, and terrorized the two Chromis we had.
I just noticed the tail though, so that verifies that is our first fish EVER in our reef tank, so the chromis is almost a year old. Still young, but the oldest in my tank!!
LOL!! We actually had purchased a pair of chromis, but the other died. This little guy is still going strong though...even after the loss of almost the entire end of it's tail!!! What a good little guy!!
