Speaking of Darwin and weak cells - my day was full of those types... Got up, had a double cup of coffee - spent 25 minutes on the elliptical machine, did some dishes, walked the dogs, contemplated the rocket scientists I was defending today (had a little giggle), checked the county websites to make sure my clients had not run into any more trouble that I should know about, reviewed files for tomorrow, got on my grownup clothes (hosiery et al..) said the morning prayer to the Saint of balance so I dont fall on my butt while wearing heels (long habit - been wearing them for many years - still think I'm going to fall over!)... went to the courthouse - found parking within 10 minutes (repaving the lots which creates HUGE parking issues), took care of 2 DUI's, a misunderstanding involving possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycotin, needles, baggies, a scale, and lots of cash (ooops), employee who took the "employee discount" a little too far (to the tune of $7500), had a hearing involving a couple who are no longer interested in the "death till do you part" - only in the "F" off and die part... Went back to the office, met with a potential client - then back to court for another hearing regarding an unhappy couple, back to the office, met with clients, returned 12 phone calls, reviewed case for tomorrows trial, left the office - talked to my mom on the way home, the rest is pretty boring - but I'm now in my comfy chair wishing I didnt have about 2 hours of research to do....
