| Re: OT: Baseball fans? It's to bad your beloved team ownership BOUGHT their first championship (Sheffield, Pudge, Kevin brown, etc...) and promptly pissed off the fan base the next offseason when they dumped them all.
Their second championship deserves some credit (more than the first) but really it's a team with cheap owners who play in a sucky division in a suckier stadium. They did one right thing by signing Ramirez long term, knowing how the operate I was expecting them to trade him away for some more kids.
And as for them being #1 let's see:
Phillies - Howard is slumping and Rollins was hurt. Wait till the last 2 NL MVP's come back and they take off.
Mets - Again injuries and poor play by Delgado. IMO they are #2 to the Phils
Marlins - Could see them finishing #3
Braves - To old and to many holes. Kotsay in center and losing Smoltz from the rotation isn't going to be enough.
Nats - Good solid base, Zimmerman and Chris Marrero (Remember that name) will anchor this team for years. |
