Once it warms up - were doomed to run it a lot more - we seem to have a really good DE filter, haven't had much algae unless it doesn't get brushed every other day or so... and its a dark bottomed so I dont know if that helps or not - certainly heats it up - by the end of summer the pool will be low 90's without a heater...
