| Re: question... That is just a general rule, no need for all of the physical water or tank volume stuff. It goes by tank volume though most of the time, but depending on how porous the rock is you can get away with less than 1 pound per gallon, whereas some rock you would need alot more than that. If you have room for the rock and its fully cured then I do not see why not, more cannot hurt, but never trust anyone that tells you rock is "fully" cured, unless you cure it yourself you will never truly know.
