I just decided to switch out from my Coralife 10K HQI's to Ushio 14K 150W on my 90. I complement the MH lighting with Actinic 03's. Others I've talked to have liked the combination. I was somewhat leary about going to the 14K lighting figuring that I'd lose valuable PAR since I was using only a pair of 150W MH's but I was told that I should expect very little difference in PAR with the Ushio's. Before the actual switch, though, I'm going to take a few PAR measurements around the tank to see if that's true.... |
