The test kit I have (RedSea Marine Lab) uses three chemicals. You put in first and check color (PinK), add second, and then start adding third and check till color changes to Blue. However, the test kit does not say whether all the contenbts of the test tube will turn blue or only part.

When I did first test the top of contents turned blue but bottom remained pink.

How is this supposed to work?
