A.M. Pinpoint Salinity Monitor question

I picked up a salinity monitor today because my eyes cannot easily read the teeny, tiny lines in my refractometer very well. I want to be sure I'm calibrating and using this thing correctly.

Using the included calibration fluid, which is 53.0mS which is = 35ppt = 1.026 = natural seawater... I calibrated the monitor to 53.

So, my silly question is; when I use this on my tank, should the monitor also read 53?
