Yes, you'll want to add the rock into your tank as soon as it arrives. Even if it's pre-cured, you'll get a cycle from it. Just test the water at least once a day so you can tell what stage of the cycle you're at and you'll know when it's complete.

I'm sure others will speak up about the lighting.

I'm anxious to see your tank grow too!
