A little more details than that would help a lot.

These corals do "pout" on occasion so that may be the case. Also this coral can do well with medium to lower light so that might not be an issue.

What really worries me is your mention of "slime mass". This specis of coral is very prone to "Brown Jelly Disease". That's a very quick killer of this coral. It can take it from healthy to dissolved in less than 24 hrs. Keep an eye on it and post back with your specific test results. We'll try and help from there.
