Re: My new Sump Room

Tank room looks SHARP! I hope to plan/build mine in a similar fashion one day.

I do have a couple of questions...

A) How do you account for all the excess water that's in the pipes which have to be "held" during a power outage or any type of ""Pump Off" situation? I mean I would think the pipe itself would hold a fair amount of water above and beyond what might be "siphoned" during an outage.

B) Does the water "Falling" that 12' not get some SERIOUS pressure on it? How do you "buffer/control" this pressure.

C)How much noise do you hear IN the basement? I mean it probably doesn't matter but I always equate excess noise to something needing to be "Tweaked".

again GREAT looking sump room.

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!
