| I really haven't been following the dramas here, but in this thread, I have seen what appears to be one common denominator. Is it just me, or have the ones being censored/banned/warned, mostly been some of the Nano'ers that recently came over from the other forum?
NOT trying to pick on any of them, everyone, regardless of tank size should be welcome, but it seems that most of the names I have seen bandied about here have been from that most recent migration. I'm not trying to point fingers at anyone either, so please don't be offended if I'm wrong on that. I don't know what the issues have been about, whether off-color jokes or statements, flaming, or what, but I know there have been a couple of timeswhere I MIGHT have posted something that was considered a bit "risque" for the family nature of this board, and asked to tone it down and edit my post. Many people just don't realize that because of the diversity of the members, different ages, ethnic origins, national origins, whatever, many things that we might discuss in our normal lives, or language we would normally use, would be offensive to many other of the members. I know personally, I tend to have a real "sewer mouth" when at work, and sometimes, I have a difficult time expressing what I want to say, without resorting to some of that language. (*^$#^%&*$#!!) As I said, I've been asked to edit & tone it down myself.
We just all need to realize these things, and try to keep everything we say here on a level that we wouldn't mind if our grandmothers or our children were to happen upon.
As to the moving of posts, ya, sometimes it's not convenient for us, as we may try to follow a thread, but when there's something I really want to keep up on, I just bookmark it. Ya, the eye candy threads in my opinion, should be left where thy can be most easily found, rather than shunted off to the photo forum, but, hey, it's not my forum, I don't have to deal with all the day to day maintenance issues of one of these boards.
